You may remember Liz Lemon from a previous article claiming she had some “procedure” on her pretty face, well she’s back! And this time she’s painting the town red with her gal-pal Juniper. The two have been spotted in different corners of Bark-Town; sources close to the girls tell us they met in the yard one morning and have been BFFs ever since. Still we must offer a cautionary note to Miss Lemon because Juniper has a long trail of BFFs behind her, including the handsome stud Giorgio and fellow Basset, Bessie Mae. But for now, the girls will party on!!

Evey “Twitterverse Queen” Pi finds new love!

Evey Pi is no stranger to attention and action, we cannot get enough of her and neither can Dodger. After weeks of playing in a group setting, the two took a few moments to get to know each other a little better.

The two are seen here sharing kisses and secrets:

Liz Lemon (rumored to be Dodger’s former flame) tried hard to get his attention, but Evey put her paws down on this one, and Dodger remains a one-doggie man…for now. We wish the happy couple much success in their relationship. Ahh, puppy love! 

Dr. Chappy reveals plans to heal dogs all over town!

Everyone who knows about the happenings on Little Pup Lane, knows that Chappy is a very loved and respected dog. But what you may not know is that he has recently been promoting “Positive Attitude Wellness Service” or PAWS for short, a new-age medicine that he says is guaranteed to improve dogs’ fun-potential and overall wellness. He uses his charming disposition and playful character to engage fellow Little Pups in feel-good games and calm conversations. He has been spotted having some great one-on-one playtime with multiples dogs, and the results are astounding!

Here he is playing with Bella, a long-time friend, and a new convert to the PAWS movement.

And here he is supervising as Bella engages her first PAWS session with T-Bone. No puppy Blues in sight, it worked like magic!

Here he is listening to Lin as she confides in him. Listening is a BIG part of having a positive attitude. Just look at how patient and attentive he is!

Chappy also likes to support new friends like Bennie, here he is checking in on Bennie during a day of play.

Sources close to the friendly guy say he has studied the healing powers of a good attitude and genuine friendship. His brand of puppy medicine has already healed thousands of dogs around the Metro-Barktown area and he hopes to reach even more! On behalf on Bark Staff, we’d like to say thank you doc!

Arf! Arf! Smooch

Bella may not be the biggest Great Dane (yet), but what she lacks in size, she makes up for in looks and personality! And what we love most about Bella is her growth! She came to us in April as a shy, and I mean really shy puppy.

Here’s a shot of her meeting her new schoolmates:

SIGH, it’s hard being the new girl! Her first few days were tough, she cowered in the corner wondering why her dad had brought her around so many bizarre and curious doggies. But after getting familiar with our human and dog pack, Bella came out of her shell.

We were so excited the day Bella came in for daycare and began jumping around with her new friends, flash forward to last week, and this girl is on fire! Leaping and playing with friends like there’s no tomorrow, Go girl!

She leaps ever so elegantly, and isn’t afraid to demonstrate her skills:

And yes, she does occasionally like to just chill in the sunshine like the rest of them:

Bella has quirks that make caring for her a very comedic experience. For example, this girl will gobble up her entire bowl of food before it even hits the ground! We also suspect she runs on solar power because we’re sure she gets huge energy boosts from the sun! We just can’t find where she’s hiding those dang panels!! She is also part-kangaroo… well, at least we think she is (you never know with rescues!). She just cannot stop hopping around, it’s the funniest sight, good thing she isn’t as large as the other Danes in our pack.

After school, Bella enjoys chilling on the couch, going to Park Grounds and to Piedmont Park , especially for the Great Dane meet-up. And in case you have just fallen head over heels in love with her and are debating on whether to get her a birthday or Christmas gift this year, we’ll make it easy for you, her birthday is none other than Christmas day itself! She’ll be turning 1 this year, ooooh we just can’t wait for that party!!!

Sniffs and Smooches!

Sophie, Oh, Sophie! What can I say about this feisty girl that hasn’t already been said? Well for one, she has been one of our main sources of entertainment every Tuesday, without fail! But let’s go back to the beginning…for little Sophie life truly began when her mama took her home as a small puppy… how small you ask? Check this out, ADORABLE!

And while she didn’t end up as the 30-40 pound dog she was expected to be, she took her time becoming a big girl, and definitely cherished the lap-dog privileges of her then teeny weeny frame.

Sophie’s favorite thing to do as a little girl was to shadow her mama and submit to her chunky kitty sibling, Scout. Today she also spends time honing her skills as a water-biter… for those of you who don’t know, “water-biting” is rumored to become the newest ‘It sport’ for urban dogs all over the world…here is Sophie’s demonstration.

This girl know how to chomp on some H20!!

I’m sure she has fishy DNA somewhere in her body, haha!

She also loves to ride in style….

Can you say “diva!”?

Ah, and after an afternoon of top-down cruising, and splashing around the creek, Sophie passes out with even more style.

At BARK, we have been lucky to see this girl grow into a smart and independent young lady-dog. In fact, after her first birthday, she flashed us this pretty smile:

We got the chance to work with her trainer, Meredith of Canine PhD, so that we would be able to help Sophie be the best playmate she can be. And it worked! No more time-outs for this wild girl, which means more time playing and bonding with her BFFs.

Miss Sophie is a great example of what good training and a supportive entourage can do for a daycare regular! Go girl! We are so proud of you!

Finally, when asked what she would wish for if she found herself a genie, Sophie wished for 3 things: 1) and endless game of tug-o-war with her mommy, 2) a queen-size bed in the middle of waterfall made entirely of yummy bones; and 3) for her boyfriend Tyson to put a ring on it!

What a funny and wonderful kid! We love you Sophie and look forward to the time we’ll spend with you in the future!

Sniff, Sniff, Smooch!

So if you’re wondering who takes care of your pups overnight, and what really goes down…talk to this guy! Justin is our official overnight guru and he does a great job of keeping our pack fed, rested and very well taken care of!

Justin has been working at BARK for about a year and has 4 years of professional pet care experience altogether, in addition to a lifetime of experience caring for his family pets. Simba (the great big Persian cat) and “V” the iguana are quite lucky to have such a cool and knowledgeable dad!

Every day is a chance to learn something new about animals, which is why Justin especially likes spending time learning from his co-workers as well as sharing his skills.

Outside of these walls, this Savannah native enjoys playing the guitar, going out with his boyfriend, playing strategy-based video games, four-wheel driving and just hanging out!…pheww! What a dynamic life!! And of course, you are all welcome to bring some General Tso’s Chicken his way, guaranteed to make him say “YUM!”

We are so thankful for all of Justin’s work with our pack this past year, and hope for many more wonderful experiences!

There are a few new faces at BARK ATL this summer and Desmon is one of them. He comes to us all the way from Buffalo, New York with his friendly and playful two-year old companion, Jay, a Blue Heeler.

Desmon has two years of experience working with animals and is especially enthusiastic about bathing. He has been working at BARK for a few weeks and is quickly making an impression on our pack, and vice versa!

When asked about his favorite thing about working here at Bark, he had this to say, “You never know what kind of dog you’ll see next and how their swag is!” … a true statement.

When not at work, Desmon enjoys playing basketball, running and cooking…what a life!! And in case you’d like to cook him up something good, his favorite dishes are mac and cheese, steak and corn.

Also, you should know that in 12^th grade Desmon organized a blood drive and an event for AIDS awareness. What a caring guy! We hope you all get the chance to meet him face to face and maybe you’ll even meet little Jay.

If you’ve been watching BARK TV aka our BARK Cams, you might be familiar with the black lab that can dash across the screen in a millisecond. That quick footed lab is little miss Evey!

This little miss evey!!

Can you believe she started out in Little Pup Lane!? But after many tests and countless hours of hopping, snoozing and sniffing, this girl earned herself straight Ms in class and found herself in Big Dog Way. (BARK factoid: the M grade stands for “Moving On to the Bigs!”)

Needless to say, Evey made quite the impression in her new class… maybe it’s because of her creative and sensitive Virgo personality, but whatever it is…she’s made close pals like Aiden and together they’re seeing the world in new and exciting ways!!

We also hear that Evey’s got quite a fun and sophisticated life outside of school, check out her twitter for proof…Seriously! She’s the doggie queen of the twitterverse!

She entertains herself with long walks, and exhibits such poise!

What a nature dog! Evey also likes the occasional dramatic gaze out into the waters, surely followed by an energetic retriever swim!

She loves play dates as well as chasing her two kitty siblings. Evey is also an advocate for doggy cleanliness…check her out in a promo for her one-dog Campaign for the Clean!

Wow what an inspirational pup! And one of the best things about her is that she is versatile and gets along with different sized groups. She tries her very best to keep it crunk with the bigs, although she does put on a good mellow face if ever she’s called into the middle room. This is exactly the type of versatility that makes facilitating playtime at the Bark very simple and fun!

Hard to believe she’s the same dog that dashes across the BARK TV screens all day huh?! Well we love Evey in all her moods and are looking forward to many more schooldays and playtimes!

JUST IN: Atlanta Socialite Gets a Face Lift!!!

Liz Lemon was spotted Monday at the Bark ATL poolside recovering from what sources call a “small medical procedure”. Liz Lemon has been known to stop traffic once or twice with her gorgeous golden, brown and black mug, which leads us to question why she would ever have the procedure. Friends of Liz Lemon, however, say she did NOT have a face lift and that she just got a really intense facial at Le Spa De Bark. Liz Lemon could not be reached for comments on the rumors, but you be the judge. Did she or didn’t she?

SPOTTED: Secret Lovers Hide Away in Mid-Hound Lounge!!

Bark regulars Sophie and Tyson have had their share of love affairs, but staff members told the Bark Enquirer that the two have been spotted several times hiding out in their Mid-Hound Lounge love nest. When asked about the affair, Tyson said “Woof! Woof! Woooooof! Arf!” … our resident doggie translator confirmed that Tyson was indeed involved in said love affair. Sophie added “Bow Wow Wow Boo” which translates into “Yes, He’s my boo!”. Sophie was previously involved with local playboy Maxwell (the Great Dane) but seems very happy in her new relationship. On behalf of the Bark Enquirer staff, I’d like to wish them both the best of luck in 2012 and beyond! Just look at these happy pups!

ON THE SCENE: New Party Pup on the Bark scene!!

In case you’re out of the loop, here’s an update on the newest party pup to hit the scene. Oh yes! Alfie is definitely making a name for himself in these halls. Alfie comes to us from the North and ever since his arrival he has been partying up almost every night!

This is Alfie on his first day at Bark, way back in January!

Look shy? Think again! Here he is with his posse, Bark party veterans Bentley and Zumba! Planning their next big adventure I’m sure.

When those three are in the house, it’s sure to be a great time!! And our sources also tell us that lately Alfie has had his eye on a certain little lady…

You guessed it! It’s Coco he’s after. Can you say summer romance?! This playboy might just settle down with cool and calm Coco…. Or maybe not, heh heh, tune in for updates!

You guessed it, he levitates! Here he is during a trip to the lake with his family. Max harnessed his great power to catch his Frisbee, way to go buddy!!

As soon as Bijee enters the building, everyone knows it’s time to “Get Bijee With It!”

This little guy takes his role as a playmate and star pupil very seriously. Since his first day with us in February, Bijee has been giving us all the goofiness that we love and crave at Bark ATL while taking directions like a truly smart puppy.

Here he is on his first day of school back in February:

He’s no shy Bichon…Bijee energetically plays with all his Little Pup Lane classmates all day and blends into our pack seamlessly, although he does get a little quirky at times.

Quirk #1: The Lean. Bijee likes to lean, he really, really likes to lean. Here he is during one of his famous leans…

Oh! Wait, there’s more where that came from!

Quirk #2: Bijee’s afternoon personality (also known as “Sweet B”) who demands to be cuddled and petted twice as much and for twice as long as usual.

And if you’re wondering how often he succeeds at getting those extra hugs and kisses, rest assured he wins every single time!

Quirk #4: Bijee is the prince of post-daycare naps! ‘Nuff said.

He may come in to school super pumped but the ride home is a different story.

“Getting Bijee With It” is hard work for a pup, but who could resist a life that gives this sweet boy (and his Mom and Dad) the chance to enjoy all the wonders of cage free, all day play!

And I saved the best for last… just look at this sweet face.
